I am about to start doing makeup proffessionally and i need to work out the costs of everything to help me work out how much to charge. I need to work out the cost of a full makeup application including all makeup used, disposables (lip gloss brush and mascara wand), cleaning of brushes, and anything else that can be thought of.
Any ideas anyone? I’m thinking of saying that the cost is probably $10. Oh and im using proffessional products bought at a wholesale price.
The problem is that some local chemist girls are charging only $35 -$40 a head. I think i defiantely have to charge more to make some money and those girls aren’t trained makeup artists as i am.
Oh and i would have to charge more for travel too if they need me to come to them for say a wedding makeup.
One wedding i have been asked to do is 75 minute drive from here.
Any ideas for me anyone?

Im in that middle stage of growing my hair, (so goddamm awkward) and i have a couple of hairbands/ alice bands etc from my sporting days that i am using to keep my hair in check around the house.

I just stick them on to sweep my hair back and such, however i want to know if it is a good look, and if girls like that look on a guy.

I’m a pretty hot guy, and i am fit and such, so what do you thinK? i have no pictures unfortunately, but just on the idea of men wearing headbands…?

I’ve found one nice one at Bianca Spender (but $800), and a beautiful Rachel Gilbert (but $835) but even minus price tag concerns, I find there’s very little on offer.

I’m stuck in Canberra so does anyone know of any good websites for purchasing they can direct me to? Or just good brands. I’ve hunted Rachel Gilbert, Thurley, Nicola Finetti, etc, but yet to find gold … help please!!

Failing that, I’m going to try and borrow a dress from dressedup (or buy it [$595] and sell it later??)

Anybody use Lush products? I picked up a few bath bombs today and the salesperson was recommending some of the moisturizers and facial cleansers. They gave me a few samples but I’m wondering if anybody uses Lush?

I am on the lookout for a pair of pants similar to these Burberry ones from net-a-porter.

Obviously, looking for something a little more reasonable in price at the moment
