And although it may take hundreds of squats and lunges along with a strict diet to get a body like one of the Victoria’s Secret Angels on the runway, recreating their hair and makeup looks is much easier.
According to the brand, “the total beauty look for the 2011 show was natural, feminine and glowing — fit for an angel.”
“Enough with the false lashes. We used to do a lot of fakeness: false lashes, fake tan, blah, blah, blah. This year we kill everything. No more fakeness,” the show’s makeup artist Tom Pecheux told Into the Gloss backstage at the November 9 show. “You know, these girls are amazing and unique — they don’t want to all look the same.”
Below, get the full makeup and hair how-tos from Pecheux and his team of 21 makeup artist and 7 body bronzing artists, plus 21 hairstylists (led by celeb hair pro Orlando Pita).

MAKEUP: FACE CHEEKS

Step 2: Conceal any skin imperfections with a concealer using a brush or your finger.
Step 3: To warm the skin, apply VS Baked Mineral Bronzing Powder in Glitterati ($16, victoriassecret.com) over the face, concentrating on the top of the forehead, the temples, the cheekbones and the jawline.
Step 4: For that rosy flush, swirl a light pink blush onto apples of cheeks pulling color slightly up towards the temples.
Step 5: As a finisher and for that iconic and angelic glow, dust VS Brilliant Shimmer Shadow in Gold Dust ($12, victoriassecret.com) onto temples and along the tops of cheekbones.
Note: The bronzer, blush and gold highlighter should blend seamlessly into one another.

MAKEUP: EYES
Step 1: Start with an eye shadow primer on lids as a base for the eye look.
Step 2: For under-eye circles, darkness or puffiness, swipe a liquid highlighter under eyes.

Step 4: To get ultra-flirty eyes (the focal point of the makeup), run a black liquid eyeliner along upper lashline, starting at the inner corner and extending slightly beyond the outer corner for a slight upward cat-eye wing. [Note: It should look very natural -- the liquid liner should not be overly dramatic or too thick.]
Step 5: Finish eyes with coats and coats of the volumizing and lengthening mascara in black on both top and bottom lashes!

MAKEUP: LIPS
Step 1: Start with a gentle lip scrub to exfoliate and replenish lips so they are perfectly smooth and plump.

Step 3: Top the lipstick with a coat of VS Lip Gloss is Sublime (a sheer coral) ($12, victoriassecret.com) or VS Sparkling Lip Gloss in Delight (a sheer sparkly pink) ($13, victoriassecret.com), concentrating on the center of the mouth for added fullness and shine.

MAKEUP: BODY
Note: In place of the deep bronze faux glow this year was a head-to-toe healthy glow!
Step 1: For a little boost of color, moisturize, then mist VS Beach Sexy Flawless Airbrush Instant Spray ($12, victoriassecret.com) over the entire body.
Step 2: For highlights and contours, swirl a body brush in a bronzer and run it down the center of legs, on the collarbone and over shoulders.

HAIR
Note: This year’s signature hair look was full “tousled glamour.”
Step 1: Curl hair with a 1-inch or 1 1/4-inch barrel curling iron so that the curls turn outward for a wind-blown look.
Step 2: To amp up the volume and add texture, use VS So Sexy Style Clean Go Dry Shampoo ($14, victoriassecret.com) and top off with a shine spray.

When Fleeing Disaster, What’s in Their Bag?
Amazon.com now offers more than 8,000 emergency and survival kits, from basic bags with knives and dust masks, to deluxe versions with shovels and tents, to emergency kits for children that include crayons and stuffed animals along with water purification tablets and flashlights. (High demand has led this online retailer to more than double its go-bag inventory over the last few years, according to Tracy Ogden, a spokeswoman for the company. )
Of course, everyone agrees that in an emergency they need essentials like food and water. But when asked to reflect on what else they might take if they had a bit more time, some notable and good-humored New Yorkers said that — after their family and pets — they would bring their most sentimental possessions, as well as some of life’s finer pleasures.
As this year winds down, here’s a look inside our hypothetical go-bags and ourselves.
WHEN tremors from a 5.8-magnitude earthquake centered in Virginia shook New York City this summer, the fashion designer Betsey Johnson and her staff ran down about 20 floors and out onto the street. “And everyone’s cracking up,” Ms. Johnson said, “because what good does that do? So I just took everyone to the bar, and we drank.”
Whatever Mother Nature brings in the new year, “I know for sure without thinking I would keep my beautiful estate piece jewelry,” Ms. Johnson said. “It’s one of those Art Deco real diamond bracelets from an ex-ex-ex. And I would take that because it’s the most expensive thing I own.”
She would also take her most meaningful possession: her daughter Lulu’s baby shoes, now more than 30 years old. “They’re two little white shoes hard as rocks because they had to straighten her feet,” Ms. Johnson said. Her grandchildren’s artwork, displayed around her apartment, would also be saved.
Rather than clothes of her own design, Ms. Johnson said, she would throw on her lucky Ralph Lauren belt, without which no outfit is complete. Brown vintage leather with studs that spell “New York” across the back, the belt has a Day-Glo pink rabbit’s foot dangling from it and can usually be seen around Ms. Johnson’s waist at her fashion shows.
“I’ve been wearing this nonstop for 10 years,” she said, even when she does her now-famous postshow cartwheels.
E. Jean Carroll, the author of the long-running Ask E. Jean advice column in Elle magazine, lives in a cabin in upstate New York “on an island about the size of a mattress,” she said. A power outage from the October snowstorm forced her to make use of what one might call her no-go bag. After all, Ms. Carroll pointed out that “go-bag” is something of a misnomer. Often, one cannot go anywhere because of felled trees and power lines. But no matter. Hunkering down is an art, one that she said she has mastered.
She listed the contents of her bag: a copy of “Meditations” by Marcus Aurelius; toys for her two rescue dogs; a pen that can write upside-down that the journalist Hunter S. Thompson gave her; a notebook; a bow and arrows; a photograph of her father, who died this year; a bottle of Chartreuse and glasses; five pounds of mixed nuts; prosecco; Ginger Snaps; a block of Colby cheese; and condoms.
Ms. Carroll said, “One must be prepared to welcome the men of FEMA.”
She is not alone in this line of thinking.
Phil Oh, a k a Mr. Street Peeper, the Brooklyn-based street photographer whose sartorial snapshots regularly appear on Vogue.com, said that in addition to Slim Jims, a Nintendo DS (to distract himself, he noted) and a carton of cigarettes (“I’ve seen enough prison movies to know that I can barter them for essentials in case things get really scarce”), he would bring condoms and lubricant.
“Because I missed out on ‘terror sex’ in 2001,” he said, “so don’t want to be unprepared this time around.”
Other boldface names focused on the spiritual rather than the carnal.
Sally Hershberger, the celebrity hairstylist who sold her Greenwich Village penthouse to Jennifer Aniston this year, said she would grab her reddish-brown meditation beads from India.
Recap: ‘The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ – ‘Adrienne’s Fashion Show’

”The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills”
Oh, yay, it’s time to dwell on all the boring minutiae of Pandora’s wedding. You know, I didn’t like this stuff when I was getting married, and just because it’s pukingly expensive here doesn’t make it any less annoying. We watch Lisa and Pandora fawn over their gorgeous wedding invitations ($15,000! That’s a NEW CAR for some people. Not a car Lisa would be caught dead in, but a car nonetheless). Fawning and seemingly useless wedding planner Kevin Lee endlessly chirps “million dollar wedding” and “fabulous” like a brain-damaged parakeet while Pandora and Lisa sample ridiculous drinks (it’s infused vodka! And nitrogen! And martini glasses made out of the skulls of a rare and practically extinct species of mountain goat! It’s fabulous!) While Lisa isn’t entirely sold on the cocktails, Giggy gobbles up some of the food, so at least the catering gets a thumbs up. Kevin Lee, of course, thinks it’s fabulous.
Finally, it’s time for gossip. Pandora is not thrilled that Taylor and the rest of Lisa’s frenemies will be attending the wedding. Pandora, crazy girl, does not want a battle at her wedding. This may be the first reasonable request Pandora has made since she got a ring on her finger. But Lisa assures Pandora everything will be fine… probably. If I were Pandora, I’d burn those pretty invitations and elope.
More mostly boring rich people indulgences! Adrienne meets with the design team from Isaay and Titan Industries to talk about her shoe line. Adrienne has always dreamed of having her own shoe line. Actually, it seems she’s just dreamed of ripping off elements from the shoes in her closet, which to me mean she hasn’t always dreamt of designing her own line (that would have inspired her to take a damn class), but she just wanted to make sure she had some shoes that had her name on them. Yes, she’s a regular Christian Louboutin! Anyway, Adrienne will be hosting a fashion show for designer Kevan Hall to benefit the Step Up charity for young women, at which she will debut her very first shoe. Oh, goody, an opportunity for the housewives to come together and shriek at one another like rabid wildebeests!
Time for a therapy session! Russell and Taylor go to see Dr. Charles Sophy, who is described here as a doctor of osteopathy. Um, really, Bravo? He’s also board certified in adult psychiatry. This might have a little more to do with why Russell and Taylor are seeing him, unless one of them has asthma or chronic inner ear infections. Anyway, they’re there for therapy. Russell proudly tells Dr. Sophy that nothing has transpired between himself and Taylor that they can’y recover from as a couple. Oh, oh my. Dr. Sophy does not seem all that convinced, as he does not appear to be an idiot.
Dr. Sophy encourages Russell to think about why he wants to be mean and nasty to Taylor, adding that they both need to feel emotionally safe in the relationship. Russell stares at Dr. Sophy blankly while Taylor nods, probably wanting to add “and it would help if he didn’t hit me, too.” Taylor wants the hurt and heartache to be over. Oh, Taylor, they’re just beginning. She tells Dr. Sophy she wants a clean slate. Well, she will get that soon enough. But not being psychic, Dr. Sophy says she’s not getting one, and besides that, wanting one is immature. Despite Dr. Sophy’s attempts to have a real session, it’s all about as revealing and in-depth as your average Hallmark card, at least until Russell has to cut things short so he can go to a meeting. Because that’s really the problem — Russell doesn’t make enough time for Taylor due to his heavy work schedule. It has nothing to do with him punching her in the face.
Brandi, Taylor and Kyle are supposed to get pedicures together, but Taylor flakes, maybe because she’s having problems holding down food or covering up her bruises with foundation. Anyway, it ends up just being Kyle and Brandi, which is obviously not a thrill for Kyle. Presented with an opportunity for girl talk, Brandi tells her new bestie that she wants to have the girls over for an evening in Malibu. With a porn star. Who will teach them how to, ahem, provide oral sex to their men folk. Brandi thinks this is a cute, fun idea, sort of like getting matching Mommy and Me outfits or shopping for organic kale at the local farmers’ market. Kyle is not convinced. She suggests Brandi keep thinking of cute ideas that are actually, well, cute.
It’s time for Adrienne’s big fashion show! Taylor will be attending with Russell, who just happened to have a break in his schedule. Lucky Taylor! She’s had an epiphany — telling her friends about her hellish marriage has made them not like Russell! Maybe she should stop doing that! Too late, Taylor. Taylor tries to bond with the robot that is her husband. She’s worried about seeing Camille. He tells her to rise above. But she’s hurt! Russell assures her she shouldn’t be, since Camille is a horrible liar. What? Um, what did Taylor tell him about that fight? That Camille just repeated everything Taylor had said about him? I’m guessing not. The good news is that Taylor does not want to get into it with Camille that evening, as she wants to keep the focus on Adrienne. Smart.
Unfortunately, even Adrienne doesn’t want to keep the focus on Adrienne. At the party, she pulls Lisa aside to tell her her feelings are hurt because Pandora is having her bachelorette at the Hard Rock. Lisa’s sorry. She didn’t want to impose. Adrienne doesn’t care. She’s hurt! Lisa’s really, really sorry. Lisa has been apologizing a lot lately. But Adrienne is not appeased, because Lisa takes the opportunity to ask her why The Palms isn’t stocking her wine. Adrienne just wanted groveling, silly Lisa!
While Taylor is apprehensive about seeing Camille, Camille is apprehensive about seeing Taylor. This is almost cute, really. Taylor is mortified when she bumps into Camille outside the women’s bathroom (which is apparently a party inside — yes, Adrienne’s bathrooms are that big), but they manage to make some small talk which ends with Taylor threatening, I mean promising Camille they’ll talk later — but not later that night.
We see the super fabulous set-up for Adrienne’s fashion show in her backyard, which would also be perfect for Pandora’s wedding if Lisa and Adrienne weren’t on the outs. I think Adrienne should host Occupy L.A. in her back yard, as it is looking for a new place to set up.
Russell and Taylor begin talking with a woman about Dr. Sophy. Russell proclaims he’s fixed their marriage. They can’t say enough good things about Dr. Sophy. Somewhere, Dr. Sophy is asking a lawyer about the technicalities of having his name changed.
Adrienne gives a speech, the Kevan Hall dresses are presented — and we never see her damn shoe. Kevan Hall mostly designs red carpet gowns — you know, long and flowing things that don’t exactly spotlight footwear. It turns out Adrienne is wearing her shoe, but she clomps up the runway and clomps back without ever lifting her fabulous gown to show them off. She didn’t want to be tacky. But it doesn’t matter — she shows them off to her friends and several million television viewers, and a demand for crazy high glittery pumps is made.
It was, all in all, a fairly sedate episode — but next week looks like anything but. Taylor is screaming and hitting, Brandi is screaming, Kyle is screaming and restraining screaming women. It’s like an MMA fight but with very thin, very wealthy women using Restylane lip injections instead of mouth guards. I can’t imagine what causes this total meltdown, but it’s always something.
Do you think Adrienne should have confronted Lisa? Do you think Adrienne should have shown off her shoes? And what do you think leads to next week’s big fight?
Prosecutors: Man used makeup to hide bruises after boy, 4, killed on his birthday
A South Side boy found fatally beaten on his fourth birthday had been repeatedly abused by his mother and her boyfriend, who used makeup to conceal the child’s bruises, prosecutors said in court today.
Cesar Ruiz, 34, and the boy’s mother, Crystal Valdez, 28, were charged with first-degree murder and concealment of a homicide.
Judge Donald Panarese Jr. set bail at $2.5 million for Ruiz and $750,000 for Valdez when they appeared in court today.

Valdez, who bowed her head and sniffled during the hearing, sobbed loudly and said “I didn’t do anything!” as she was led to the lockup.
Relatives had noticed the boy, Christopher Valdez, had a swollen eye, bruises to his chest and stomach and was throwing up on Thanksgiving, Assistant State’s Attorney Maureen Hughes said.
When they went to Christopher’s home on Friday in the 5100 block of South Trumbull Avenue, he was found unresponsive under a blanket and had “bruises all over his body” that had been covered up with makeup.
“(Valdez) started yelling that (Ruiz) did it,” Hughes said. “(Ruiz) then said he was sorry.”
Christopher was pronounced dead at 3:10 p.m. Friday, his 4th birthday, at Holy Cross Hospital, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Ruiz allegedly admitted in a videotaped statement to police that he grabbed the boy, spanked him and hit him in the side several times. He also admitted to covering the boy’s injuries with makeup, Hughes said.
Valdez told investigators she had also hit her son, and had seen her boyfriend hitting Christopher and “kneeing him in the stomach repeatedly” on Thanksgiving and on Friday, Hughes said.
According to prosecutors and court records, Valdez was found guilty last month of domestic battery for beating Christopher in July, causing a black eye, bruising to his body and swelling to his head.
“She admitted that she punched the victim because she was angry,” and also to using makeup to cover up the boy’s injuries, Hughes said.
Valdez was sentenced to 1 year of conditional discharge and ordered to take parenting classes in that case, records show.
Tom Valdez, the boy’s grandfather, told the Tribune that relatives were planning a birthday party for the boy on Friday and had brought over a birthday cake. When they arrived, no one answered the door until they kept pounding on it because they suspected something was wrong.
When they got inside, they found Christopher’s body and called police, Valdez said. Officials said the boy had been dead for several hours.
Ruiz’s sister, Maria Castillo, said outside court that Christopher never should have been allowed back into Valdez’s care after her conviction.
“I can’t sleep at night thinking about what happened to that child,” Castillo said. “I’m so sorry for that.”
A spokesman for the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services was not immediately available for comment.

Where to Shop in Cyber Space
Black Friday is not the only day to snap up the deals of the season. Cyber Monday offers the opportunity to shop, via the Internet, from the comfort of your home. There’s no need to get dressed and brave the crowds to find some fabulous bargains.
OK, you may be asking, where do I find the best deals on everything? Here are Patch’s top picks for the best cyber-shopping.
Target.com is offering special deals on just about everything from electronics to baby dolls. How about a Nintendo Wii console with Mega Pack Bundle form $174.98, orginally $214.98.
Amazon.com is boasting its “lightning deals.” According to the site, “Some deals are in limited supply, and all of them will go quickly, but don’t worry if you miss one, because we’ll keep adding new ones.” Sale categories include electronics, video games, kitchen and home, sports and outdoors, tools and home improvement, and fashion.
QVC.com is one of my favorites, because it offers great buys all the time. For Cyber Monday, it’s declaring “better than Black Friday deals” in electronics, beauty, cooking, apparel and more. Plus, there is free shipping and handling on select new items.
HSN.com is offering its best “wired and un-wired wonderland with
pricebusters every hour as you tune in for once-a-year Cyber Monday specials and the most innovative electronics topping every gadget lover’s wish list.”
Ebay.com is the go-to site for shoppers any time of the year. And for holiday gifts, the site is offering savings on everything from the latest tech gadgets to the most popular toys, designer fashions, top brand housewares, sports gear and more.
Need more suggestions? Check out BestCyberMondayDeals.com, a website listing retailers’ “best online deals for this day,” and Shop.org’s CyberMonday.com, which claims to highlight “the best deals from over 700 online retailers,” including Sony, Toys R Us and more.

Darcel bags Oroton

by
AlyxGorman

Nov 28 2011, 01:00PM
Oroton may once have been the bag your mother toted, but over the past couple of seasons, they’ve made leaps and bounds into reestablishing themselves as an ‘it’ brand. They’ve already teamed up with Tommy Ton and Taylor Tomasi-Hill to produce campaign imagery, and now they’ve brought super cool NYC illustrator (and Brisbane boy) Craig Redman on to illustrate some key pieces from their range.
Redman is the man behind the hilarious illustration blog Darcel Disappoints http://darceldisappoints.blogspot.com/. I caught his first Italian solo show during Milan Fashion Week earlier this year, and am ceaselessly impressed with the artist’s ability to blend a slick aesthetic that’s the pinnacle of current design standards with something that, in its relentlessly optimistic use of colour, still feels a little darker. His prints of famous fashion figures in Milan, in addition to looking very cool, were borderline menacing.
Redman’s work reminds me a little of Yellow Submarine, but there’s a compelling newness to it as well. This has translated comfortably into the branded collaboration, which will be used as visual merchandising in Oroton boutiques across the country.
In addition to the four posters, Oroton have also worked on an animation with Redman.
While Oroton’s fashion resurgence has much to do with the considered collaborations the brand’s creative director Ana Maria Escobar has instigated, I suspect there is more to it than that. For a long time fussy opulence – tassels, trims, outsized locks and monogrammed mania – was the prevailing trend in handbags, but in an austerity measured, Celine- dominated luxury climate, Oroton’s very classic aesthetic is once again of the moment. With that in mind, I think I might go and raid my mother’s wardrobe for a few choice vintage pieces to compliment the current collection.

Where All The Hot, Shirtless Guys Will Be On Black Friday (Also: Deals!)

We know, we know — it’s barely mid-afternoon and instead of focusing on the Thanksgiving turkey roasting its heart away in your aunt’s oven, you’re planning your line of attack for the more important holiday happening tomorrow: Black Friday.
With all the people buzzing about the mall and other stores in your community, we figured it would be a good idea to round up just a few deals you might want to be aware of to help you get organized for the day ahead. (If you scroll down just a tick, we’ll tell you about a store where all the male sales associates are going to be walking around half naked.) Just remember: stay hydrated, pace yourself, and no matter what, don’t shank anybody. Happy Thanksgiving, and best of luck at the stores!
Department Stores
Barneys — Today, and basically today only, you can get discounts of up to 40 percent off select merchandise. What? Gaga’s Workshop cost a lot of money, y’all.
Belk — You’ll want to be in line early at this department store. The first 250 shoppers at each store will be given gift cards valued between $5 and $1,000. Use your Belk card between 3 am and 1 pm on Friday, and you’ll get an extra 20 percent off on regular and sale-price items.
Bloomingdale’s — Most merchandise is 25 to 40 percent off, but if you shop in store, you’ll get $15 back for every $100 you spend. That way, you can come back to Bloomingdales to pick up any last minute gifts you may have forgotten.
Dillards — Southerners, eat your hearts out. We hear some Dillards stores will be slashing the prices of the big, brand-name merchandise it sells in half — but don’t start camping out tonight. Doors don’t open until 6 am.
JC Penney — Penny’s probably has the best deals of any of the big department stores. You can get 50 to 70 percent off cold weather gear, 60 percent off all blankets, and over 100 pairs of women’s boots that normally sell for over $80 are priced at $29.99. Priced to move. Like wildfire.
Macy’s — Leave it to America’s original department store to set up some great deals. Most Macy’s are opening at midnight, but you can shop the website today for at least an extra 20 percent off just about everything they sell. If you have a Macy’s card, you can get up to 15 percent off some purchases in store!
Neiman Marcus — We’re not sure this is exactly a Black Friday thing (because if you can afford to shop at Neiman Marcus, do you really need Black Friday deals?) but the store’s website is promising 40 percent off select merchandise. Discriminating discounts for discriminating customers.
Nordstrom — Per usual, this classy store is not participating in Black Friday, and has already posted signs proclaiming, “We won’t be decking our halls until Friday, November 25. Why? Well, we just like the idea of celebrating one holiday at a time. From our family to yours, Happy Thanksgiving.” Well, more for Macy’s.
Saks — Spend $100 on beauty products online today (or online and in store on Friday) and you’ll get a $25 gift card. There’s also free shipping if you order online between now and Tuesday, Nov. 29 and use the promo code HOLIDAY at checkout.
Mass Market Stores
Amazon.com — You wanna $79 Kindle? Of course you do.
Sears and Kmart — Not tons of great deals here, but not too shabby either. The stores are offering 10 percent off home, jewelry and luggage purchases, 15 percent off clothes, accessories, cosmetics, fragrances and shoes. Also, if you use the code REALJOY when you check out online, you’ll get free shipping — but you have to spend $99 at Sears or $49 at Kmart to qualify for it.
Target — Doors open at midnight here, too, so you’re going to have to get in line right after the last plate has cleared the table. We hear there are doorbusters galore — like a 46′ flatscreen HDTV for under $300, and savings of 30 to 35 percent on jackets and sweaters.
WalMart — The world’s largest retailer is celebrating something we’re calling Black Friday Eve, and will unveil its various deals at 10 pm tonight. Those deals include such low, low prices as a waffle iron selling for $2.84. Yes. You read that right. If you’re not in line now, you may already be too late.
Specialty Stores
Abercrombie Fitch and Hollister — Ah, yes — this is what our headline alludes to. Where else can you stand around, watching listless, pretty, abdominally defined young dudes stand around on Friday? Nowhere. Because it’s cold in most places this time of year. Still, we think the “thousands of hot guys” promised to be working in AF and Hollister stores across the country are there to distract you from the fact that their 50 percent off deals end at 9 am. Better get there at midnight.
Ann Taylor — If you’re going to be in New York City, swing by Ann Taylor’s Rockefeller Center store between midnight and 6 am for a chance to win a $1,000 shopping spree. If you’re not, well, you can still get 40 percent off literally everything in the store.
Asos.com — You’ll get 20 percent off everything you buy from the British e-tailer — including stuff that’s already on sale! — so long as you enter the codes “BLACKFRIDAY2011” for guy’s purchases and “HAPPYBLACKFRIDAY” for ladies’ things.
Express — Get there before noon, and your purchase will be 40 percent off. Get there after noon, and you still get 30 percent off! Basically, get there when you can — you’re gonna save a few shekels no matter when you go.
Forever21 — If you don’t feel guilty about shopping there, what with all the atrocities the store commits against fashion, you can take advantage of savings up to 75 percent off, which is by far the best deal going right now.
J.Crew — Fashion’s favorite “mid-range” retailer is giving its customers a mid-range discount: 25 percent off online orders and free shipping on orders of $150 or more with the code YOURGIFT.
Land’s End — We hear this purveyor of all many a staple is giving customers up to 50 percent off selected items called “St. Nicks Picks.” Rhyming!
Old Navy — Getting cold? All of this store’s outerwear is half off. We almost want to dare you to find someone who can beat that, but we’re afraid some of you could actually do it.
Urban Outfitters — We didn’t expect the people who brought us the Navajo trend to be that generous with the Black Friday sales. Take 50 percent off items in the sale section — but be sure to get to your local Urban before 10 am.
Designer Fashion
Joe’s Jeans — You could be saving right now! Get 25 percent off anything you buy online on Turkey Day.
Norma Kamali — We got an email on Wednesday promising up to 75 percent off on “classic styles” — and really, you can’t argue with that, can you?
Shoes
Endless.com — Staying home? You can still get 33 percent off shoes, boots, handbags and other accessories at this online store.
New Balance — Is one of your resolutions for 2012 to start running? Get up to 50 percent off selected shoes and other gear in New Balance’s online shop and start running right.
PayLess — Some styles are up to 50 percent off, which means you can buy twice as many shoes!
Electronics
Apple — Yes! Apple has things on sale! Like a MacBook Air under $900! Check out 9to5mac.com for all the details.
Best Buy — There are some online-only deals, but real Black Friday diehards should be on the lookout for doorbuster deals. Doors open at midnight, and store associates will be handing out special passes to those who wait dutifully in line.
Dyson — Need an new vacuum cleaner? If you have to think about it, the answer is probably yes. Dyson is selling some of its vaccuums, fans and heaters for up to $170 off. Just in time to clean up all those holiday crumbs.
Toys And Video Games
GameStop — Tons of video games are $10, $15 and even $20 off — and if you’re looking to unload an old iPhone or iPad for cash, GameStop will buy it from you. Then you’ll have more cash to buy presents with!
Toys R Us — America’s favorite toy store is actually opening its doors 9pm the night of Thanksgiving, but you can still take advantage of tons of deals if you’re not one of the early birds — er, night owls — who gets there first. Lots of merchandise has been knocked down between 35 and 60 percent, and the store is promising this year’s sale features its lowest prices ever. If only our friends wanted toys instead of clothes for Christmas

This black Friday nonsense is the most embarrassing part about living on this planet. Now the hypocritical 99% can show their true colors with their annual greed spree. Have a great time tomorrow morning fighting and clawing for that all consuming plastic while the rest of us spend time with our family and friends. You debase us all with you greedy shallow wants.

Hooooray for Neiman Marcus. I’m giving them ‘cudos’ on principle because they are not participating in Black Friday, and that they “like to celebrate one holiday at a time” Right on! Now, if I could only break out of the American poverty class and be able to start shopping there to give them more support…

Ooops…Nordstroms, not NM! Duh.

Hollister will be there
